Pourya Shamsi received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, TX, USA, in 2012. Shamsi is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering with the Missouri University of Science and Technology. His research interests include power electronics, microgrids, motor drives, medium voltage converters, battery chargers, and control.
